Kyuss Lives!

After original Kyuss vocalist John Garcia's successful "Garcia Plays Kyuss" tour in 2010, three of the four original members of the legendary stoner band are reforming in 2011.

Garcia, bassist Nick Oliveri (Mondo Generator/ex-Queens of The Stone Age) and drummer Brant Bjork (Brant Bjork And The Bros/ex-Fu Manchu) will reform for a European tour in March/April next year, completed by Bruno Fevery on guitar, under the name Kyuss Lives!.

Garcia: "You know, the whole reason I ever considered doing this with Brant and Nick was the feeling we all shared during Hellfest this year. To be able to play with such amazing musicians again is a dream come true for me. This will also be a huge chance for me to let everyone know about Garcia Vs Garcia which should be coming out Fall of next year."

The second day of Sonisphere Finland was hit a freak storm at around 16:00, leaving some 40 people injured, the second stage damaged beyond repair and several of the bands' equipment also damaged, including second stage headliners Mötley Crüe. Iggy & The Stooges managed just four songs in an impromptu acoustic set on the main stage, as they were unable to play their full second stage set, while Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden had to push their sets back by around two hours while repairs and checks too place, Cooper forced to borrow equipment from Slayer in order to perform.
