Germany's Tomahawk Festival Cancelled

Due to poor advance ticket sales the Tomahawk Festival, scheduled for March 13 in Hamm, has been cancelled by promoters Burningstage Concerts. Obituary, who were scheduled to appear, will play an extra headlining show at the N8 Club in Osnabrück instead, with support from Persefone, who were also due to play at Tomahawk and are opening for Obituary on their tour.

AC/DC Iron Man 2 Video Online

In a unique collaboration Marvel and AC/DC have teamed up to release a soundtrack album for the new 'Iron Man 2' movie comprised entirely of classic AC/DC songs.

The first video to come from the project, featuring AC/DC's song Shoot To Thrill is now online in our videos section.

The album will be released as a standard CD and deluxe CD/DVD set on April 19.

Sweden Rock Confirm First Headliner

Although Slayer, confirmed last week, are expected to be a headliner at this year's Sweden Rock Festival, the first formally announced headline act for 2010 is U.D.O., who will play on the now-traditional shorter Wednesday, on June 9.

This morning there was also a strong rumour from Sweden's primary national newspaper that Guns N' Roses will headline the festival. This is the same newspaper that announced Aerosmith's appearance in 2007, then a major coup for the festival, before the organisers did. They say the festival hopes to announce major artists this week.

Exact days/times are still to be confirmed.
