AC/DC to attend premiere screening

In an update to yesterday's news that there will be a premiere screening of AC/DC's new DVD Live At River Plate at Hammersmith Apollo in London on May 6 ahead of its May 9 release, the band have now announced that they will be personally attending on the night.

Sweden Rock announce acoustic stage line-up

After the success of the Rockklassiker acoustic tent at last year's Sweden Rock Festival, this year it will be merged with the unsigned bands tent onto a new open-air stage, taking the festival to five bona fide stages.

Joining the previously announced special acoustic appearance by Rage will be:

Chips & Kent
Roffe Wikström
Nicke Borg Homeland
Claes Yngström & CC Goes To Woodstock
The Dead and Living
Bob Log III
Slidin' Slim
Goda Grannar

On Thursday June 9 the stage will be used for the annual NeMiS (New Music In Sweden) bill of unsigned local bands. The acoustic bands will play on Wednesday June 8, Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11. Rage play Saturday.

Sonisphere Turkey

The final edition of Sonisphere for 2011 has been confirmed for June 19 in Istanbul, Turkey. This also marks the final 2011 tour date to be added to Iron Maiden's itinerary, who will headline.
